Hanging Out
So, it turns out that I'm not great at updating my blog. Sorry to my far-off family and friends who are waiting for updates! Here are a few recent pictures of the kids, just hanging out and having fun together. We built the sandpit last month in a previously bare patch of yard. Aesthetically it's a huge improvement, and the kids like it too!

Sand is my NEMESIS. Seriously, I can handle a lot of messes with equanimity (cooking together, play-doh, painting, etc) but something about the grainy mess of sand drives me up the wall. I purposely avoid going to parks that are all sand under the play areas, which I'm pretty sure is terrible of me.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have a sand area in our backyard, is what I'm trying to say. :)
Ha, everyone I knew who has a sandbox warned me about the awful sand messes. And it's true, sand gets everywhere and makes everything gritty. BUT, the kids can play in the sandbox, by themselves, for almost an hour. It makes it all worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteNext time I'd try a gravel pit. All the fun of digging and scooping without the sandy mess.
