A Happy Camper

Henry had a great time attending day camp at our church this past week.  The highlight of his last day was a safari, complete with a safari hat ("We got to color on the hat!  With markers!").

Henry did confess to me that he really wanted to learn to skateboard or rollerblade, but that they didn't have any "sports with wheels" at the camp.  Do they even make skateboards for soon to be four-year-olds? And more importantly, am I ready for this?

Though it was busy, we had a great week.  We are usually pretty low-key at home, with few scheduled activities, so getting us all out of the house and to the church by 9 am everyday was quite an accomplishment.  I enjoyed having an early start to the day and a little break while Henry was off on safaris and such.  Violet and I used to the time visit with friends, run errands, and nap (on Violet's part) before picking Henry up at lunchtime.  Everything seemed ridiculously easy with only one child to buckle and unbuckle and to cart around town, especially since Violet is content to sit and smile at everyone without trying to convince me buy some toys.  :)
